The Hanged Man

The Hanged Man – about a voluntary pause and a rejection of the usual perspective. This is the arcana of an outside view: the situation remains the same, but the way the person sees it changes.

Self‑sacrifice without result and stagnation: the pause lasts for years and becomes a way of doing nothing.

An arcana by itself is not a verdict nor a characteristic: it answers the question of the position it occupies. The same arcana in the centre and in the relationships area indicates different things — in the centre about what the person returns to, in relationships about how they approach. Therefore, reading the matrix starts with the question of the position, not with the name of the arcana.
