Destiny matrix

A diagram of nine numbers built from a single birth date. Each number is one of the 22 major arcana. It is pure arithmetic — no birth time or place involved.

Work through your diagramOpen in workspace

Calculated in your personal workspace: only a birth date is needed

How it is calculated

The day, the month and the digit sum of the year are reduced to the range from 1 to 22: while a number is above 22, its digits are added together. Then the numbers are added in a fixed order — that is how the southern point, the centre and the four diagonals appear.

We reduce the year using all four digits. Some schools use only the last two, and the numbers then come out different. Diagrams calculated by different rules cannot be compared.

In what order to read it

The centre first — the theme everything else turns out to be a variation of. Then west against east: your character against what comes easily. Then north against south: what came from your family against what to do with it. The diagonals last: without the centre they mean little.

Sample calculation

The diagram below is calculated for 12 April 1991. Every point shows its arithmetic — you can check the calculation on paper.

A repeated arcanum

The same number in several points is the loudest signal in the diagram: one theme runs through several areas of life at once.

Nine points and what each one asks

What it does not give

The diagram predicts no events, diagnoses nothing and has no scientific basis. It is a set of questions about yourself, derived from a date by fixed rules. Decisions about health, money and law are not built on it.

Where the method comes from

The method is modern rather than ancient: it took shape in the Russian-speaking world in the 2000s and 2010s and is most often associated with the name of Natalia Ladini. From tarot it takes the 22 major arcana, from numerology the reduction of digits. There is no single canon, so we have written our rules down and cover the calculation with a test.
