The Hierophant

The Hierophant – about tradition and teaching: meaning passed on, a contract recognised by both parties. This is the arcana of that which has been tested before us and therefore works.

Letter over meaning: dogma repeated without understanding, and the demand to follow a rule simply because it is a rule.

An arcana by itself is not a verdict nor a characteristic: it answers the question of the position it occupies. The same arcana in the centre and in the relationships area indicates different things — in the centre about what the person returns to, in relationships about how they approach. Therefore, reading the matrix starts with the question of the position, not with the name of the arcana.
