Justifying dependence and exercising power over another through their need: the person becomes indispensable to avoid being abandoned.

An arcana by itself is not a verdict nor a characteristic: it answers the question of the position it occupies. The same arcana in the centre and in the relationships area indicates different things — in the centre about what the person returns to, in relationships about how they approach. Therefore, reading the matrix starts with the question of the position, not with the name of the arcana.
